His Eminence, Francis Cardinal Arinze, healthy and hearty at the public concistory for the creation of 21 new Cardinals today, 30th September 2023, at Vatican City, Rome, Italy.

Moreover, the new cardinals come from the U.S., France, Italy, Argentina, Switzerland, South Africa, Spain, Colombia, South Sudan, Hong Kong, Poland, Malaysia, Tanzania, Venezuela, and Portugal.

South Sudan got its first cardinal and Malaysia got the second in its history, a continuation of Francis’ policy of giving more recognition to places he has called the “peripheries” of the world, often those racked by war or where Catholics are a minority.

Looking at Cardinal Francis, one can’t but thank God and the Holy mother Church for the service of the cardinalate in the Church and around the world. Additionally, born in November 1 1932, Cardinal Francis Arinze clocks 91years by November 1, 2023.
