Release Nnamdi Kanu, and then what?
The above has been my question to people who cry for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
And if you must understand what you are going to read further, you must reflect deeply, otherwise stop reading this this moment.
Equally, I want his release.
However, the first question that I asked myself whenever the issue comes up is:
Why is Nnamdi Kanu incarcerated?
In summary, the answer is:
Nnamdi Kanu loudly without fear cries out continuously against injustice and may be more than any other person in Nigeria.
Now the next question is:
If they release Nnamdi Kanu will he stop crying for Justice?
The answer is to me, CAPITAL NO.
Consequently, if Nnamdi Kanu is released, it is either the Nigerian government adheres strictly to the demands of justice, or they rearrest him.
Moreover, this is his second arrest by the Nigerian government on the same issue: CRY FOR JUSTICE.
Released or not, the Nigerian government’s name presently is injustice and corruption, and this very government is proud of it. Therefore, I don’t see the possibility of his release.
Furthermore, I don’t think that if you ask Nnamdi Kanu to shut up and be released, that he wouldn’t slap hell out of you.
Another question is: if you are Nnamdi Kanu, will you shut up?
Many of us crying for his release are equally the same people who practice corruption and injustice wherever they find themselves be it at the Ụmụnna, at the market, at the Church, to mention but a few.
Instead of crying for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, I cry against the Injustice that kept him in the prison. To annihilate that injustice is the dream and aspiration of Nnamdi Kanu. And to annihilate the injustice is the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
We all shall be doing Nnamdi Kanu great good if we decide to act and indeed act justly everywhere we find ourselves.
